Copyright & Republication
Updated: September 29, 2026
This page explains the copyright and republication practices for original material published on michaelsaad.net.
Copyright
Unless otherwise identified, original articles, written materials, graphics, photographs, audio, video, downloads, branding, and other original content published on michaelsaad.net are owned by Michael Saad and are protected by applicable copyright and intellectual-property laws. Third-party materials remain the property of their respective owners. A license stated on this page does not grant rights that Michael Saad does not own.
Republication of Articles
Unless an article states otherwise, original articles identified as licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License may be republished at no cost subject to that license.
In practical terms, qualifying articles may be copied and redistributed in any medium or format, including republication by another publication, provided the requirements of the license are followed.
Attribution is required. Modified versions may not be distributed under the license.
The full Creative Commons license terms are available here.
Attribution
When republishing a qualifying article, please clearly credit Michael Saad as the author and identify michaelsaad.net as the original source. Please include a link to the original article when the republication format permits links.
Canonical URL
For online republication, please use the original michaelsaad.net article URL as the canonical URL whenever your publishing system allows it. This helps search engines identify the original source of the article.
Republication Tracking Pixel
Some articles include a small tracking pixel provided for republication.
When technically possible, please retain the article’s republication tracking pixel in the republished version. The pixel helps michaelsaad.net understand where an article has been republished. The request to retain the canonical URL and tracking pixel supplements the Creative Commons license. It does not change the terms of the license itself.
NoDerivatives
The Attribution-NoDerivatives license permits redistribution of the licensed material but does not permit distribution of modified versions under that license. Formatting changes necessary to display an article in another publication may be permissible under the license, but substantive edits, adaptations, translations, abridgments, or other modifications can raise different licensing questions.
If you want to publish a modified version, contact Michael Saad to request permission.
Excluded Material
Republication permission applies only to material covered by the stated license.
It does not automatically apply to:
- third-party photographs, illustrations, graphics, or other media
- quotations or excerpts owned by someone else
- trademarks or logos
- embedded video, audio, social-media posts, or other third-party content
- material that an article or page identifies as excluded from the Creative Commons license
You are responsible for determining whether you have the rights necessary to reuse excluded material.
Other Uses and Permissions
Uses allowed by applicable law, including fair use where applicable, do not require additional permission from michaelsaad.net. If the Creative Commons license does not cover the use you have in mind, you may request permission through the contact page.

Knowingly submitting materially false claims of copyright infringement may have legal consequences. Where appropriate, material may be removed or access may be disabled while a copyright claim is reviewed.
If material you provided is removed because of a DMCA notice and you believe the removal resulted from mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification containing the information required by applicable law.
